The Department of Commerce organised an industrial visit to Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF), Mandya, with the participation of 88 II PUC Commerce students and seven faculty members.
The visit offered students practical insights into the dairy industry, covering the complete process of milk procurement, quality testing, processing, packaging, and distribution. Officials at KMF warmly welcomed the group and explained the organisation's modern technologies, quality standards, hygiene practices, and cooperative business model.
Students also toured the production facilities and interacted with industry professionals, gaining a deeper understanding of large-scale dairy operations. The visit provided a valuable experiential learning opportunity, effectively connecting classroom concepts with real-world industrial practices.
