Exploring Forensic Science and Psychology: Educational Visit to JAIN (Deemed-to-be University)
The Department of Humanities, JAIN College, V.V. Puram, organised an educational visit for II PUC Humanities students to the School of Sciences, JAIN (Deemed-to-be University), JC Road Campus.
The session focused on Forensic Science, Psychology, and Crime Science, offering students an opportunity to explore these interdisciplinary fields through expert-led discussions and practical learning experiences.
The programme began with an introduction to the Department of Forensic Science, where faculty members provided an overview of the discipline and its applications. To encourage hands-on learning, students were divided into two groups. One group participated in a Forensic Psychology session, gaining insights into criminal behaviour and investigative psychology, while the other attended a Crime Scene Investigation workshop that combined a classroom briefing with practical activities in a simulated crime scene environment.
The visit also included an interactive session hosted by the Department of Psychology, where learners actively participated in engaging activities that reinforced key psychological concepts. Overall, the visit provided valuable exposure to emerging career pathways while effectively connecting classroom learning with real-world applications in forensic science and psychology.
