Pink Line Metro Stations in Bangalore

The Pink Line of Namma Metro, also known as Reach 6, is an under-construction north–south corridor that will run from Kalena Agrahara (near Bannerghatta Road) to Nagawara in the north. Spanning a total length of 21.25 km, this line will feature 18 metro stations — with a mix of underground and elevated stretches.

The Pink Line is designed to connect Bengaluru’s south (IIMB & Jayadeva) to its central business district (MG Road, Shivajinagar) and up to the northern IT zones like Nagawara and Manyata Tech Park.

 Pink Line Highlights

  • Total Length: ~21.25 km

  • Total Stations: 18

  • Start Point: Kalena Agrahara (South)

  • End Point: Nagawara (North)

  • Line Type: Mostly underground (13.76 km), some elevated (7.49 km)

  • Expected Completion: 2026

  • Purpose: Connects Bannerghatta Road, Central Bengaluru, and North Bengaluru

  1. Jayadeva Hospital
      Interchange with Yellow Line
    One of India’s largest metro interchanges (5 levels)

  2. MG Road / Mayo Hall (tentative)
    Connectivity with Purple Line (Trinity or MG Road vicinity)

  3. Nagawara
      Interchange with Blue Line (ORR-Airport Line)

What Makes the Pink Line Important?

  •  North–South Coverage: Covers key parts of the city, including Bannerghatta Road, Dairy Circle, Richmond Circle, MG Road, and Nagawara

  • Covers Institutions: Christ University, IIM Bangalore, Jayadeva Hospital, and MG Road zone

  • Underground Network: Will reduce surface congestion by passing below core city roads

  • Multi-Line Connectivity: Links Yellow, Blue, and Purple lines

  •  Eases Traffic on Bannerghatta Road and ORR

    Close to Forum Mall and student accommodations

  6. Lakkasandra
    Serves local residential colonies and institutions

  7. Langford Town
    Access to Richmond Town and nearby commercial areas

  1. Vellara Junction
      Future interchange with Blue Line
    Near Brigade Road, Richmond Circle

  2. MG Road / Mayo Hall (tentative)
    Connection with Purple Line (location under coordination)

  3. Shivajinagar
      Major bus and commercial hub

  4. Cantonment
      Connects to Bengaluru Cantonment Railway Station

  5. Pottery Town
    Covers Fraser Town and local residential zones

  6. Tannery Road
    Serves densely packed neighborhoods

  7. Venkateshpura
    Local markets and residential area

 Northern Section

  1. Arabic College
    Covers RT Nagar side and nearby institutions

  2. Kadugondanahalli (KG Halli)
    Mixed-use zone with schools, markets, and homes

  3. Nagawara
      Interchange with Blue Line
    Access to Manyata Tech Park and Outer Ring Road

  4. Nagawara Depot (for operations only)
    Not a passenger station, but depot for Pink Line

When to Use the Pink Line?

Choose the Pink Line when you want to:

  • Travel quickly between Bannerghatta Road and North Bengaluru

  • Commute to IIMB, Christ University, Jayadeva, MG Road, or Manyata Tech Park

  • Skip road traffic via a fast underground metro

  • Access Purple, Yellow, or Blue lines through interchanges

  • Reach places like Shivajinagar, Cantonment, or Pottery Town directly

The Pink Line Metro is set to become one of the most important metro routes in Bangalore — easing pressure on Bannerghatta Road, improving access to the CBD, and creating new connectivity for North Bangalore’s tech corridors.
