In view of this, an Anti-ragging cell has been established to check all forms of bullying as they amount to anti-social behaviour and affects learning. The activities conducted under the cell aim at providing a congenial learning environment to the students, that is free from threat, harassment and any type of bullying.
The institution is committed to prohibit, prevent and deter commission of acts of sexual harassment, thereby providing a safe and conducive environment to the growth and development of its employees. The Anti-sexual Harassment Cell has been set up which strives to prevent and prosecute commission of acts of sexual harassment. It is dedicated to address all allegations of sexual harassment made by any employee in the workplace.
To make the education system of the institution inclusive and to enhance the diversity of staff and students in the campus, the institution has an Equal Opportunity Cell in place. It is the interest of the institution to become responsive to the needs of different social groups, including the disadvantaged and to harvest the human potential from them. The cell offers guidance and counselling to eliminate the perception of discrimination.
To maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institution and to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among the stakeholders, the institution has instituted a Grievance Redressal Cell. The cell encourages the students to express their grievances freely and frankly without fear of being victimised. The matter shall be resolved by the committee in a timely manner. To uphold the dignity of the college, awareness is created among the academic community through the activities of the cell, advising the students to refrain from being the cause of grievance of other students.
The institution has devised an effective mechanism to receive the complaints of sexual harassment of women by adhering to the rules and regulations issued by the Central and State Governments. An Internal Compliance Committee has been duly constituted by the institution to provide a platform for listening to the complaints and redressal of grievances. The Cell strives to create awareness among the academic community about their legal rights and foster healthy relationship with opposite gender.
The NSS Cell facilitates students to acquire leadership qualities and develop a sense of social and civic responsibility among them. The cell provides a platform to understand the community in which they live. The activities hosted by the cell enable the students to be committed to social service and work for the upliftment of the downtrodden.
The Rotaract club of the institution strives to bring people together to exchange ideas and participate in projects with an aim to create a change in the society. It is a platform that supports the students to organise and participate in service projects that support to promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, sanitation and hygiene, support education and grow local economy.
The institution is envisioned to empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects. The Eco-club plays an important role in sensitising the students towards the environment and sustainable development. The cell organises activities to mobilise students towards scientific inquiry into the local and global issues of environment.
The institution has established a Women cell to address specific issues concerning women. The activities of the cell aim at empowering and orienting women to recognise true potential and to help them attain their own stand in a competing world. The cell strives to enhance self esteem and self confidence among women staff and students. It intends to create awareness among women about their role in building up of a healthy society.
