Orientation
The academic year at Jain College starts with a one week orientation which ends with an outbound activity. Students learn about the JGI philosophy of constant efforts and evolution and also get to know their respective teachers. Experts from various cities across the country come and enlighten the students on a vast gamut of topics like team building, goal setting, stress management, meditation and yoga, etc.

Workshops and Seminars
Jain College, Belgaum arranges for workshops & seminars throughout the year to enable students to locate disciplines within their broader business, economic, political and social contexts.

Speaker Series, Debate Forums and Panel Discussions
Jain College, Belgaum hosts Colloquium – a speaker series programme conducted at the college premises. The speakers invited are from private, public and educational sectors to give presentations on relevant economic & business issues. Topics like NLP, Art of Parenting (for parents), Career Counseling, Evolving Marketing Arenas, etc. have been presented. The Debate forum allows students to express their opinions on issues facing society and the enables them to learn different perspectives brought to the table by students with different areas of expertise.

Management and I.T. Fests
Calibre is a fest designed and conducted exclusively for the first year management students, taking into consideration their level of experience and competence. It is envisioned as a platform to transform novices into mature professionals. The events are designed to evaluate the creativity, skill set, decision making abilities, analytical skills, knowledge, personality and attitude of aspiring management graduates.

Crusade is a management fest organized by the BBA final year students which is open for all the BBA semesters. Based on the theme survival, it focuses on bringing out the realistic aspects of management thus preparing participants to face challenges outside the protected college environment.

Prodigy is a national level I.T. fest that personifies the unusual blend of technology and imagination. It is a two-day extravaganza organized by the students of BCA, with nerve breaking challenges to bring to facade the latent talents and creative skills of tech whiz kids.

Joy-de-Verve is an in-house warm up fest organized for the BBA new admits by their seniors. It focuses at breaking the ice between the students and identifying the unseen flair of the freshers. It also acts as an inducting mechanism where the freshers learn about the JGI philosophy of constant efforts and evolution.

Endeavor is an in-house warm up fest organized for the BCA new admits by their seniors. Here the freshers are given a platform to showcase their technical as well as managerial skills. It also gives them an opportunity to know their seniors and feel an integral part of the Jain College family.

The Dawn
Jain College Belgaum souvenir, “The Dawn” is an attempt to elicit the essence of learning from the students; as Mark Twain says; if “Education is what remains after we have forgotten what is read in the books” then “The Dawn” showcases the finer aspects of education as perceived by students. We at Jain College Belgaum are proud to be a JGI institution and are constantly striving to enhance the horizon of human development. We believe that this magazine adds a new dimension to our philosophy.

Industrial Visits
Learning at Jain College extends beyond the four walls of the classroom. Students visit various industries local as well as national and gain perspective on how things work in real world. They are required to submit reports on their learning to the respective class teachers. Industrial visits are conducted every year as part of the curriculum. Since the college realizes the importance of the global exposure on the student, a set of deserving students are also sent on an international visit every year.

Sports
Sports activities form an integral part of the curriculum at JCB. Within a very short span of its establishment, the institution has already started creating waves in sports at various levels from inter college to national. With quality infrastructure and dedicated trainers, sports aspirants here are developed into admirable players.
